Online forms: Fabulous Fairfield
‘Fabulous Fairfield’ is a program that rewards residents who are proud of where they live and who take responsibility for the area immediately outside their property.
Each month at Council meetings we recognise the hard work of our City’s keen gardeners through the Fabulous Fairfield Awards. Our residents grow beautiful gardens with flowers, vegetables and natives for their own enjoyment as well as improving the overall look and environmental quality of our City.
At the end of the year we acknowledge the pride and dedication that so many residents display in their gardens.
We have divided the Garden of the Year Awards into three categories:
- Best Vegetable Garden
- Best School Garden, and
- Best Garden.
All of the monthly Fabulous Fairfield winners are eligible for the annual awards. The winners are judged on a number of categories, such as planting creativity, planting management, garden structure, sustainability, presentation and infrastructure.
The program also acknowledges residents who do simple things such as:
- Mow the grass outside their property
- Cut the edges at the kerb to stop grass growing into the gutter
- Pick up litter on the footpath or in the gutter
- Maintain landscaping outside the home
- Help neighbours to do these things if they are elderly or unwell.
All residents are eligible for rewards by "having a go" including garden centre vouchers, incentives and continued support.
To nominate someone for a Fabulous Fairfield Award, please complete this nomination form.
We recommend you register with Council's website (see Register at top right of this page) so you can save your progress of this form and return to it at a time convenient to you. If you do not register and need to return to the application later, progress will be lost and you will need to start again.
Also, if left idle for more then 10 minutes, the form will time out and unless you are a registered user all progress will be lost.
