Community organisations play a vital role in making our City a great place to live.

That's why Council has launched our new Community Grants Program, an initiative which will help community organisations to serve the Fairfield community by making it easier to apply and receive community grants from Council.

The new program merges existing and new community grants, offering a combined $135,000 in grants for 2019-2020.

Grant applications open at various times throughout the year, the Community Grants Program Guidelines provides information on the opening and closing dates of all the available community grants, information on eligibility, the application process, selection criteria, important contacts and frequently asked questions. You can find the Community Grants Program Guidelines on Council's website www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/community-development-grants.

Our hope is to ensure consistency through the collection of data for grants, and the capacity to better manage and evaluate the effectiveness of programs through the Community Grants Program Guidelines, all while still remaining accessible to the wider community. Smarty Grants is the new and easily accessible online platform through which to apply for our community grants.

We believe a strong community is one which works together; celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion. Harmony Day, Youth Week and Refugee Week are just some of the initiatives we now support through our community grants funding programs.
