Being a volunteer can be a rewarding and valuable experience. It also plays a valuable part in supporting our community. Fairfield City Council offers volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Council is registering people who are interested in volunteering their time during the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This information will be made available to selected local organisations and charities who are seeking volunteers. Council will be sharing this register with services and charities that are supporting the community in this time of need. If you register as a volunteer, you may hear directly from these organisations or from us with various opportunities to contribute. Register your interest here.
Events such as Bring It On! Festival, Culinary Carnival, Illuminate, Lunar New Year and the Cabramatta Moon Festival benefit from the participation of volunteers.
Environmental groups include volunteering at our Nursery Volunteer Day, Fairfield Indigenous Flora Park, Fairfield Creeks and Wetlands Group, Cabramatta Creek Flying Fox Committee and the Sartor Bushcare Group. Visit the environmental volunteering page for more information.
