Our Commitment to being a Child Safe Organisation

At Fairfield City Council we will:

  • Provide safe and friendly spaces where you are safe and feel safe
  • Engage and empower you where you can have a say in decision that affect you
  • Protect your safety and wellbeing by making sure we report any child safety concerns
  • Build a culture of child safety by making sure we implement the NSW Child Safe Standards

Fairfield City Council is committed to being a child safe organisation. Council recognises the importance of the wellbeing of all children and young people. Children and young people are an important part of our community and it is essential that children are safe, while taking part in community life.

Council has developed a Child Safe Policy which demonstrates Council’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. Council is committed to fulfilling its duty of care by endeavouring to ensure that all workers act in the best interests of children and young people and take all reasonable steps to ensure their safety.
