4. Volunteer Recognition Program

The Volunteer Recognition Program acknowledges volunteers who make a contribution in Fairfield City. Organisations are encouraged to register their volunteers with the program to receive a Mayoral Certificate of Appreciation. The program is open for registrations in April to May each year.

5. Here to Volunteer! Inclusive Volunteering Workshop 2024

2024 Inclusive Volunteering Workshop

Presented by the The Centre for Volunteering, this workshop is suitable for volunteer managers, supervisors and anyone interested in understanding more about inclusive volunteer programs. Participants will learn about:

· Increasing volunteer interest

· Supporting volunteers from diverse backgrounds

· Making volunteer programs more accessible and inclusive

The workshop will be offered in-person and online, including two sessions outside of business hours. Register for just one session from the options below.

  • Tuesday 21 May - In person - 10:30am - 12:00pm (Fairfield Youth & Community Centre)
  • Tuesday 28 May - Online - 10:30am - 12:00pm (ZOOM)
  • Monday 3 June - Online - 6:30pm - 8:00pm (ZOOM) 
  • Monday 17 June - In person - 6:30pm - 8:00pm (The Hub@Bonnyrigg Dhanawi)
