Ring in the Mid-Year at Re-Illuminate
Published on 17 June 2021
Fairfield Showground will once again be the stage for Council’s exciting mid-year event, Re-Illuminate on Sunday, 27 June 2021 during the school holidays.
Members of the community are encouraged to bring a picnic rug along and settle in for some next-level family fun including music, rides, food, carnival games and of course, the fireworks finale.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone is looking forward to welcoming celebrations back and seeing the community come together once again.
“Council understands the importance of bringing people together following the difficulties of COVID.
“It was unfortunate that we had to postpone our popular NYE Illuminate event in 2020 because we understand the importance of bringing families together to ring in the New Year,” Mayor Carbone said.
“While Re-Illuminate will look a little different to Illuminate, it still promises to be a memorable night. Council has worked hard to ensure a fun and safe night for the whole family.
“I look forward to joining you in celebrating our City and the achievements of the last 18 months.”
The program will see the return of the popular jet pack show, stilt walkers and other roaming entertainment including cultural group performances, DJ and of course, a spectacular fireworks finale.
The Hot Import Nights Australia car show will have rides of all makes, limited edition merchandise, giveaways, and a meet and greet with Miss HIN models.
Festival goers can bring a picnic rug or use the grandstand seating. Winter warmer treats like hot chocolate with marshmallows and roasted chestnuts will be available to purchase at the event. Re-Illuminate is an alcohol-free event.
Council has put all the measures in place to ensure a COVID safe event including capping ticket sales.
Fairfield City residents will have priority access to tickets from 10am on Tuesday 8 June, visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/reilluminate to book.
