Time is running out for you to use your two free kerbside waste pick-ups for this financial year. You can now pre-book your two free pick-ups at a time that is convenient to you, instead of waiting for scheduled pick-ups. Make sure you book in now so you don’t miss out. On 1 July, you’ll be eligible for another two free pickups.

With many of us being home more than usual over the past year or so and with the recent wet weather, now is an ideal time for you to clear the clutter in your homes and yards.

Council’s kerbside pick-up service means you can dispose of bulky items that don’t fit in your weekly red-lidded waste bin. Simply go online at www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/kerbsidecleanup and choose an available day that best suits you.

Even if you have used your two free pick-ups this financial year, you can plan ahead and book a day after 30 June.

This service is very popular, so I suggest you get online early and book as soon as you can to have the best chance to find a pick-up date that suits you.

The book-in kerbside service is part of a range of waste disposal services that Council provides to residents to keep our houses, streets and greenspaces clean and prevent illegal dumping.

Apart from the regular weekly and fortnightly waste and recycling collection, Council also organises free annual bulky waste drop off days at Fairfield Showground and free e-waste and chemical waste drop-off days.

Council also provides residents with an extra recycling bin collection near Christmas, a free green waste disposal voucher with the July rates notice each year, and free access to our Recycling Drop Off Centre every Saturday for residents to dispose of waste that can be recycled.

Our City belongs to all of us. We have a responsibility to work together to keep our streets clean. That’s why Council provides these extra services to help keep our City clean and waste out of the environment.
