Families across Fairfield City will be treated to a spectacular celebration this 31 December.

Our City's inaugural New Year's Eve event, Illuminate, will deliver one of the biggest fireworks events South West Sydney has seen.

For those families who choose to celebrate New Year's Eve at home, we are bringing the celebrations to you.

Many residents will be able to view some spectacular fireworks from their very own backyard, with 11 sites spread across the LGA.

Illuminate will unite families across the City in one giant celebration as fireworks are launched at 9pm.

Families will also be able to join in the fun at Council's free site at Calmsley Hill Farm from 4pm-9pm. Calmsley Hill Farm will be a fun-filled family experience bursting with entertainment such as amusement rides, children's craft activities, roaming entertainment, food stalls and a stage featuring live music.

Illuminate fireworks will be launched from:

  • Calmsley Hill Farm (Council's site)
  • St Johns Park Bowling Club
  • Mount Pritchard and District Community Club
  • Cabramatta Rugby Leagues Club
  • Fairfield RSL
  • Smithfield RSL
  • Club Marconi
  • Cabramatta Bowling Club
  • Cabra-Vale Diggers Club
  • Canley Heights RSL
  • Triglav Mounties

Residents will have a fantastic City-wide celebration to herald in 2016 no matter where they are living in the LGA. There will be no need to leave Fairfield City to ring in the New Year.

Due to the outstanding community interest and limited space available at Calmsley Hill Farm, families are required to book tickets to secure their place at Council's live site.

Information about tickets and how to obtain them will be released closer to the event date.
