Recognising achievements and milestones

I am pleased to announce that once again I will be awarding all graduating Year 6 students across our City with certificates and Aquatopia passes to celebrate their special milestone, as well as the Mayor’s Community Spirit Awards to a deserving Year 12 student from each of the City’s high schools.
There are few more important events in a young person’s life than graduating from primary school. Not only is it a major milestone for young people and their families, it also forms the foundation on which future education and training is built.
I thoroughly enjoy my visits to the schools each year and I can think of no better way to recognise the important milestone of graduating primary school than by giving students the coolest way to celebrate their achievement with free passes to Aquatopia.
We also recognise Year 12 graduating students in our community who are quick to lend a helping hand and show great pride in their local community or the City as a whole.
I will present a Mayor's Community Spirit Award to an outstanding graduating Year 12 student from each of the City's 15 high schools at their end of the year assembly or awards night. Teachers and staff from each school select one Year 12 student to be the school's winner.
These students can be either consistent or outstanding in their displays of kindness. That can be in service of the school, the Fairfield City community or a local charity. Each school's winner will be presented with a certificate and a cash prize.
For other residents celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions we offer Certificates of Recognition. These free certificates are the perfect keepsake for your special day.
