Nelson Park, Fairfield Upgrade

Nelson Park draw.

Exciting plans are underway for a new playground in Nelson Street, Fairfield, which will see the former playground upgraded and significantly expanded to provide families endless opportunities for adventurous play and imaginative exploration.

The $870,000 playground is proudly joint funded by Council and the NSW Government and will appeal to all ages and abilities. The playground will feature a 25-metre flying fox, play zones where little imaginations can run wild, fitness hubs and more.

In addition to the play equipment, the playground will also include shaded tree cover, seated picnic spots, green space and landscaping to provide a pleasant and inviting environment for all.

Construction is currently ongoing with completion due in November 2025.
