Living Cultures Festival

The Living Cultures Festival returns to Fairfield City Museum & Gallery for the fourth year this March, promising a cross-continental journey celebrating Fairfield City’s rich cultural diversity.

Living Cultures Festival 2019

Held in recognition of Harmony Day, Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the Living Cultures Festival was a bold cultural celebration promoting respect and harmony within the community.

The free event starts with a traditional Smoking Ceremony and Acknowledgement of Country by Darug man Christopher Tobin, followed by a colourful line-up of performances that include Macedonian, Russian-Chinese, Colombian, Indonesian, Chilean, Spanish and Italian folkloric dancing and music.

It will also showcase contemporary performances, craft and cultural stalls, food demonstrations, face painting and activities for families and children.
