Position Description:

Before you Apply: 

A Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a copy of your driver licence or Government issued ID is required. 

If you already have a paid employment or volunteer WWCC you can submit details with your application.

If you need to apply, this can be completed online at Apply for a Working with Children Check | Service NSW) or in-person at any Service NSW Centre.  Volunteer WWCC application is free.  When completing the form select “volunteer” in Q4 and Entertainment for Children.

Regarding your EOI application, the omission of relevant information or provision of false information may lead to this application not being considered further or removal from the volunteer program where a placement has commenced.

Volunteering Australia defines formal volunteering as an activity which takes place through not for profit organisations or projects and is undertaken: to be of benefit to the community and the volunteer; of the volunteer's own free will and without coercion; for no financial payment; and in designated volunteer positions only. 

Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be available for a minimum of six (6) hours.
  • This information will be provided to the event medical personnel to ensure appropriate care to be available, if required.
  • The minimum age to volunteer is 14 years.
