Fairfield City Council will celebrate NSW Local Government Week 2022 next week by inviting residents to visit pop-up offices across the City.

Held from 1-7 August 2022, Local Government Week is an opportunity for residents to learn about the important events and services that Council delivers to the community. Council staff will be on hand to answer any questions and residents can explore some of the significant projects planned for 2022-2023.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said it’s important that Council is across the vision and priorities of residents, and remind them of the influence they have on the future of the City.

“I will be attending each of the mobile locations through the week and look forward to talking to you about what you love about Fairfield City, hear your concerns and discuss how we can work together to make Fairfield City an even better place to live, work and raise a family,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Our friendly staff will be on hand to answer your questions and talk about Council’s services and upcoming projects. I encourage you to drop in and say hello.”

The mobile offices will be at the following locations:

          Wednesday, 3 August: Dutton Plaza, Cabramatta, 10am – 1pm

          Thursday, 4 August: Bonnyrigg Plaza, Bonnyrigg, 10am – 1pm

Friday, 5 August: Fairfield City Central, Fairfield, 10am – 1pm

Saturday 6 August: Fairfield Markets, Fairfield Showground, 9.30am – 12pm

This year, Council will also take Local Government Week online with a daily Facebook competition from Monday 1 August to Friday 5 August 2022. There will be a series of questions relating to Fairfield City Council with great prizes up for grabs.

The winning and highly commended art and photography submissions of Council’s Capture Fairfield Visual Arts & Photography Competition will be on display during Local Government Week at Fairfield City Council’s Administration Centre and Whitlam Library Cabramatta.
