At its Council meeting held on 13 May 2025, Council resolved to adopt the Wetherill Park Market Town Site Specific Development Control Plan 2014 (Amendment No. 1). The new Plan will commence on 2 June 2025. A copy of the Council report can be viewed via the link below:

This public notice of the approval of the Wetherill Park Market Town Site Specific Development Control Plan 2014 (Amendment No. 1) and the date on which it will come into effect (2 June 2025) is in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
Upon the commencement of the Wetherill Park Market Town Site Specific Development Control Plan 2014 (Amendment No. 1) (i.e. 2 June 2025), the following development control plan will be amended:

The amendments to the DCP were initiated by the site owner and update development controls to enable an additional development scenario for the site which would contain non-residential land uses. This includes additional controls in relation to the building design, setbacks, floor space ratio, and pedestrian access. As part of the amendment, administrative and formatting changes were also addressed.
