Recycling Drop Off Centre
This centre is for Fairfield City Council residents only. Proof of residency is required upon entry.
Items accepted FREE of charge:
- Car batteries
- Electronic waste including televisions, computers, printers, hi-fi equipment, mobile phones, electrical cables, power tools, kitchen and bathroom appliances
- Gas cylinders (maximum 9kg bottles)
- Metal items including washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers, car parts and pipes
- Motor oil (up to 20 litres)
- Recycling including plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles and jars, steel cans, aluminium cans, paper and cardboard
Items accepted for a CHARGE:
- Garden waste including grass clippings, prunings, branches, thorny materials, succulents and palms
Accepted Payment methods:
Please note: NO CASH is accepted on site.
GREEN WASTE FEES AS OF 29 JULY 2023
Minimum charges for green waste are as follows (noting that all loads will be assessed on site by the Weighbridge with final prices determined based on volume of waste):
CAR: $8 per car (minimum charge)
UTE: $14.50 (minimum charge)
VAN OR STANDARD TRAILER 1.8 x 1.2: $20 (minimum charge)
Green Waste Vouchers
Council provides one green voucher per household each year. This is attached to your annual rates notice (usually mailed out in August). With your green voucher you get one free garden waste drop off (limit of one box trailer load per voucher). Proof of residency must match the details on your Green Waste Voucher.
Items NOT ACCEPTED:
- NO garbage
- NO building materials
- NO chemicals
- NO paint
Hours of Operation
Open: ONLY Saturdays from 8am to 3:30pm, excluding public holidays.
Closed:

- Saturday 30 December 2023
- Saturday 6 January 2024
Location
Corner of Davis and Widemere Roads, Wetherill Park.
Due to traffic hazards, entry to the centre is via the Sustainable Resource Centre. Please follow the signs and directions of staff on site.
Conditions of Entry
No trucks or tilt tray utes are permitted. This is a hand unload only centre.
