Council is changing our kerbside pick up service to make it easier and more convenient for residents, so you can book your kerbside pick up when you need it most.

We want to make it easier for you to put your bulky rubbish out for Council clean ups, at a time that suits you. You can now choose when you receive your two free kerbside waste clean-ups each year.

Previously Council told residents when the collection was coming to your street, but now you can book-in your collection online at a time that is more convenient to you. This is not only more convenient for you, but helps keep the streets looking neat and tidy.

Simply go to www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/kerbsidecleanup to book-in a day more convenient to you and Council will pick up your waste on that day.

I invite residents to take advantage of the service and use the pick up wisely to make it more efficient for you. Each household will continue to receive two free collections a year to dispose of bulky items that are no longer wanted. This service will be very popular, so I encourage you to book early to find an available date that suits you.

The book-in kerbside service is part of a range of waste disposal services that Council provides to residents to keep our houses, streets and greenspaces clean and prevent illegal dumping.

Apart from the regular weekly and fortnightly waste and recycling collection, Council will also offer a free Winter Waste bulky waste drop off day at Fairfield Showground on Sunday 25 July from 7am-3.30pm, and a free e-waste and chemical waste drop-off day on Sunday 22 August.

Council also provides residents with an extra recycling bin collection near Christmas, a free green waste disposal voucher with the July rates notice each year, and free access to our Recycling Drop Off Centre every Saturday for residents to dispose of waste that can be recycled.

Our City belongs to all of us. We have a responsibility to work together to keep our streets clean. That’s why Council provides these extra services to help keep our City clean and waste out of the environment.
