It is important to create a healthy, connected community and we want to make sure that our families always have access to free or affordable opportunities to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
Families can now make their own delicious and healthy meals thanks to a tailor-made cookbook by Fairfield City Best Start Education and Care. During the Covid-19 lockdown, our services cooked more than 35,000 meals and delivered these to community members in need.
Now, these culturally diverse and allergy friendly recipes are available to view for free at Best Start Cookbook Best Start (nsw.gov.au) or you can borrow a copy at one of our 5 Fairfield City Open Libraries branches.
An information session will be held for those looking to kick start their career in Early Childhood Education and Care. Best Start offer a great traineeship program that allows you to work and gain qualifications at the same time.
You can register for the traineeship information session at Best Start Cookbook Best Start (nsw.gov.au).
Along with all these exciting projects, Best Start have just launched their new website. You can find easy to read information about each of the services and there are resources for current and future families. The new website has 360 degree tours of the services along with additional language translations.
View the website on www.beststart.nsw.gov.au and follow their Facebook page ‘FairfieldCity Best Start Education & Care’ to keep up to date with news, upcoming events and to see what the children and educators of the services get up to.
