Avenel Park Canley Vale

Avenel Park Approved Concept Design.jpg

We have an exciting new upgrade to transform Avenel Park, Canley Vale into a sport and exercise-orientated open space, enabling a range of physical activities and inclusive play.

The facility is a vast upgrade and expansion on the existing standard outdoor exercise stations, introducing a new skatepark, ninja obstacle course, multi-sports court and walking circuit to provide a range of multi-generational activities for local residents. The project is an embellishment of an underutilised public open space offering a greater range of informal recreational opportunities in Fairfield City and meets the growing need for multi-generational adventure-focused exercise facilities that will promote community health, connection and vibrancy.

What's new?

The proposed works could include:

  • Ninja obstacle course
  • Skatepark
  • Inclusive fitness equipment with a 25m sprint track
  • Multi-sports court
  • Walking circuit path
  • Cooling stations and bubbles
  • Turf mound seating area
  • Kickabout space
