Service Levels in our Town Centres

Council's Operational Plan specifies the street and public amenity service outputs for Town Centre Operations.

The following town centres are covered: Cabramatta, Canley Heights, Canley Vale, Carramar, Fairfield, Fairfield Heights, Smithfield and Villawood.

The Street and Public Amenity Service

• Daily removal of litter from footpaths, gutters, garden beds, landscaped areas and bus shelters

• Scrubbing and washing of footpaths

• Pressure washing of footpaths and street furniture

• Removal of bill posters from shopfronts and structures

• Emptying and cleaning of litter bins

• Removal of hypodermic syringes

Town Centre Cleaning Operations Staff

• 5 nightshift (10pm to 7am) – sweeping, blowing, illegal dumping in town centres

• 1 scrubber streetsweeper

• 2 rubbish bin (B-tidy) pick-ups all town centres

• 1 daytime attendant Cabramatta Town Centre

• 1 daytime attendant Fairfield Town Centre

• 1 street bin cleaner
