Design the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition

Mayor Frank Carbone needs your help to design his 2026 Christmas card!

Get creative and your artwork could appear on the cover of the Mayor’s Christmas card, sent to everyone across Fairfield City.

Who can enter?

Children aged 5-12 years who live in Fairfield City or attend school in Fairfield City.

Rules:

  1. Your artwork must be Christmas-themed.
  2. Only drawings and paintings are accepted
  3. Use the design space provided on the official template.
  4. One entry per child.
  5. Most importantly – be creative and have fun!

Entries must be submitted online by 11:59 pm, Friday 30 October 2026.

Terms and Conditions

By entering Fairfield City Council’s (the Promoter) Design the Mayor's Christmas Card competition, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Entrants must be aged between 5 and 12 years and reside or attend a school within the Fairfield Local Government Area (LGA). To determine whether a school is located within the Fairfield LGA, refer to the ‘Eligible Schools in Fairfield LGA’ section below.  
  2. Submitting an entry requires the consent of a parent, carer or guardian agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The competition commences on Thursday 24 September 2026 at 10:00am and will close on Friday 30 October 2026 at 11:59 pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
  4. Entries will only be accepted through the Promoter’s official ‘Design the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition’ online entry form as found on the Fairfield City Council website.
  5. A clear scan or photo of the entrant’s artwork must be uploaded as part of the online entry form for the entry to be successfully submitted.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to publish and use the winning artwork, together with the winner’s first name and school for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
  7. Employees and councillors of the Promoter and their immediate family  members and persons residing in the same household are ineligible to enter the competition.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  9. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. All entries become the property of the Promoter upon submission.
  11. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not be considered valid.
  12. The artwork submitted must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person.

Judging

One winner will be selected from eligible entries by the Mayor of Fairfield City.

Prize

The winning design will feature on the cover of the Mayor’s official Christmas Card for 2026 and will include the artist’s first name and school.  The Christmas Card will be distributed to households throughout Fairfield City.

In addition, the winner will receive a chocolate gingerbread house kit and family pass to Aquatopia Water Park at Prairiewood Leisure Centre.

  • The winner’s parent, carer or guardian will be contacted via phone and/or email.
  • The winner must collect the prize from Council’s Administration Centre during business hours (8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday).
  • The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. 

Privacy Consent

  • All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used by the Promoter for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
  • Personal information collected as part of the competition will only be used for administering the competition and contacting the winner.  Incomplete entry forms may result in an entry being deemed invalid.
  • By entering the competition, the entrant’s parent, carer or guardian consents to the Promoter publishing the winning entrant’s artwork, first name and school on the Promoters’ website, social media channels and other promotional materials.
