Design the Mayor’s 2025 Christmas Card!

If you're aged between 5 to 12 and live or go to school in the Fairfield Local Government Area, this is your chance to shine! Enter the Design the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition and your artwork could be featured on the Mayor’s official Christmas card for 2025.

Rules:

  1. Your artwork must have a Christmas theme.
  2. Entries can be hand-drawn or painted – but please avoid glitter or glued items, as designs will be scanned.
  3. Use the design space provided on the official entry form.
  4. One entry per child.
  5. Most importantly – be creative and have fun!

Or pick one up at any Fairfield City Library, Leisure Centre, or the Council Administration Centre in Wakeley.

Hard copy submissions are preferred.

All entries must be received by 4:30pm on Friday, 31 October 2025.

Terms and Conditions

By entering into Fairfield City Council’s (Promoter) competition, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Entrants must be 5-12 years of age and live or attend school within the Fairfield Local Government Area (LGA). To find out if your school is within the Fairfield LGA see the ‘Eligible schools in Fairfield LGA’ section below.  
  2. Submitting an entry requires the consent of a parent or guardian agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The competition commences on Thursday 25 September 2025 and will close at 4:30pm Friday 31 October 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
  4. Entries will only be accepted using the Design the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition official entry form.
  5. Entries will only be accepted if submitted in person at Council’s Administration Centre or emailed to mail@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to use the winning artwork plus winner’s first name and school for promotional purposes.
  7. Employees and councillors of the Promoter and their household members are excluded from this promotion.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  9. The Promoter’s decision is final, and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence.
  10. The winner must be able to collect their prize from Council’s Administration Centre.
  11. All entries remain the property of the Promoter.
  12. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not be considered valid.

Judging

One winner will be selected from eligible entries by the Mayor of Fairfield City.

Prize

The winning design will feature on the cover of the Mayor’s official Christmas card in 2025 along with the artist’s first name and school, and will be posted to every household in Fairfield City. PLUS, the winner will receive a gingerbread house kit and family pass to Aquatopia Water Park at Prairiewood Leisure Centre.

  • The parent/guardian of the winner will be contacted via email.
  • The winner must be able to collect their prize from Council’s Administration Centre during business hours (8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday).
  • The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize. 

Privacy consent

  • All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
  • Personal information will only be used for the purpose of administering the Promotion and to contact the winner of the Promotion. If the details on the official entry form are incomplete, the entry is considered invalid.
  • An entrant also agrees that the Promoter can, in the event the entrant is a winner, publish their artwork, first name and school on any media or social media platform.
