It was inspiring to see such a strong turnout from Western Sydney creatives, all eager to connect, collaborate, and take their music careers to the next level. The event highlighted the importance of community-driven learning and the power of sharing knowledge within the local scene.

Kenji is a Vietnamese-Australian artist from Sydney’s southwest, known for her infectious flows, poetic punchlines, and smooth blend of ‘90s nostalgia—from new jack swing to jazzy hip-hop à la Nujabes. Her sound is soulful yet playful, offering a fresh spin on classic influences.
After a life-changing stint in Japan, Jade returned to Australia determined to become the representation she rarely saw growing up. She met producer Kase Avila during music studies, and their Instagram “tiny desk jams” evolved into their debut EP, Maroyaka (2021), introducing her to a growing audience craving fresh takes on old-school hip-hop.
Her solo debut, "Tell Me The Time" (2022), solidified her as one of Sydney’s most exciting emerging voices. Since then, she’s been featured in VICE, appeared on ABC’s Rage, toured Tokyo, and collaborated with renowned producer grooveman Spot.
Now with her latest single "Table Numb3r" out, Jade Kenji is just getting started—bringing her unique artistry to the global stage.
