hoopla: Films, eBooks, eAudiobooks & Music

• A valid Fairfield City Open Libraries membership. Sign up online for free! If you have forgotten your 4 digit PIN, reset your password here. 
• Email address
• Internet. Loans can be downloaded for offline use, but internet is still required for initial access.
• Smart phone or tablet device. Download the hoopla Digital on the Apple Store, Amazon Appstore and Play Store.

First time users

• Visit www.hoopladigital.com.au
• Click the 'Get Started' button
• You will be prompted to create an account with hoopla. Enter your email address and create a password, then click 'Agree'
• Search and select 'Fairfield City Council' as your library.
  You will be given the option to opt into emails and notifications, or click next to skip.
• Enter your library card number (the number at the back of your card, underneath the barcode OR your digital library ID). You must agree to the terms of registration to successfully create an account with hoopla. 

Instant Borrows

• All Fairfield City Open Libraries' members are entitled to 6 Instant Borrows each month. This limit will reset at the beginning of the calendar month. Instant titles are always available and allow for simultaneous usage by multiple patrons, assuming you have monthly borrows remaining. Unused borrows will not roll over into the next month. You can check all your loans and remaining titles available by visiting the 'My hoopla' section of the website or app. 

hoopla BingePass

• A hoopla BingePass gives you days of unlimited access to great online content with a single Instant Borrow! You'll receive access to the partner website or app for you to explore all they offer, directly through their platform. It’s a great way to discover new entertainment, try your hand at a new skill, or learn about a new topic.
  
  Once you borrow a BingePass, you can access it immediately. To access the content again, you can find your BingePass through the Borrowed section of My hoopla. When your borrow period is up, you’re welcome to borrow the same BingePass again.
  
  Your personal information will not be shared with BingePass partners. They simply know you came from hoopla.
  
  Please note that hoopla is not responsible for any BingePass partner content. It's possible some content will be for mature audiences.

Loan periods

• eAudiobooks, eComics and eBooks are available for 21 days from the time you borrow the title.
• Movies and TV episodes are available for 72 hours (3 days) from the time you borrow the title. Some publishers limit the borrow time to 48 hours (2 days).
• Music albums are available for 7 days from the time you borrow the title. 

Loans are automatically returned. Titles can be returned before the lending period has expired by clicking the 'return now' button. Please note that returning a title early does not give users additional borrows for that month.
