By entering this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Eligibility

  • The competition is only open to Fairfield City residents. Entrants less than 16 years of age must seek parental/guardian permission to enter.
  • Employees of Fairfield City Council (Promoter), its affiliates, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child, parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

2. How to enter

To enter, participants must:

  • Visit the official competition post on Facebook
  • Comment on the post with your answers to the seven emoji clues provided. 
  • Entries must be submitted as a comment on the original post before the competition closes. 
  • Only one entry per person will be accepted. 
  • The first 20 eligible participants who correctly guess all answers, or who have the highest number of correct answers, will each win one (1) $30 Unlimited Ride Wristband to the Halloween event being held at Fairfield Showground.

3. Competition period

  • The competition starts on Wednesday 22 October 2025 at 11am and ends on Friday 24 October 2025 at 3pm. 

4. Winner selection

  • The first 20 valid entries with all correct answers, or the highest number of correct answers will win.
  • In the case that there is no correct answer, the most correct answers will be eligible to win. Decisions are at the discretion of the Promoter and are final.
  • The winners will be notified via a direct message on Facebook by 5pm, Friday 24 October 2025. 
  • Winners must be able to provide an email, contact details and proof of Fairfield residency to the Promoter to arrange prize collection at the Fairfield Showground on the day of the event.
  • Failure to provide the Promoter with an email, contact details and proof of residency within 24 hours will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected.

5. Prize

  • The Promoter is giving away 20 individual passes to the Halloween in the Sky event being held on Friday 31 October 2025 from 4pm to 10pm at Fairfield Showground
  • Each winner will receive entry for one + one unlimited rides wristband.
  • The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • On collection of the Prize, proof of identification and Fairfield City residency must be provided.

6. Publicity

  • By entering, participants grant the Promoter the right to use their name and Facebook profile for promotional purposes in connection with this competition without any further compensation.

7. Disqualification

  • Any entry deemed illegible, inappropriate or offensive will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

8. Liability

  • The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, problems or failures of any kind related to Facebook or the entry process.
  • The Promoter is not liable for any injuries, losses or damages resulting from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize.

9. Right to cancel or modify

  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition if necessary, including in the event of a computer virus, tampering, or any other cause beyond our control.

10. Facebook disclaimer

  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. By entering, you release Facebook from any responsibility related to the competition.
