To celebrate National Tree Day's 30th anniversary, 221 community volunteers came together to plant 10,000 native plants on Sunday 26 July at Anglevale Reserve, Edensor Park, marking the largest turnout at a Council-led planting event to date! Over the past decade, Council and the community have planted more than 100,000 native plants through National Tree Day activities, demonstrating a shared commitment to creating a greener, cooler, and more sustainable city.
Every plant tells a story of someone who chose to give their time back to nature. Thank you to all volunteers for rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and helping grow a legacy that will benefit our community for generations to come.
