I’m proud of the role Council plays in shaping our City’s future – building new playgrounds, creating super parks, upgrading our sporting fields, providing huge community events and much more for everyone to enjoy. It helps to make Fairfield City a great place to live, work and play.

But the real magic of Fairfield City is the people. Every time you pick up a piece of litter, plant a tree, volunteer, or greet a neighbour, you’re helping our City shine.

The Fabulous Fairfield Garden Awards are a perfect example of this community spirit in action.

You don’t need to be a gardening expert to make a difference. Every effort—big or small—helps make Fairfield greener and more beautiful. For over 20 years, the Fabulous Fairfield Awards have celebrated locals who take pride in their patch, inspiring us all to get involved.

Each month, we honour our winners at a Council Meeting with a native plant and a $100 gardening voucher. At year’s end, all monthly winners compete for the coveted Garden of the Year Award.
