Make Council Your Business - free procurement workshop
Published Wednesday, 8th March 2017
Local business owners can learn about opportunities to supply goods and services to Fairfield City Council at its free Procurement Workshop on Tuesday 21 March.
The workshop will provide important information on Council’s procurement requirements and how to register your business with Council for future tenders and quotes for services.
Fairfield City Council buys a range of products and services that benefit our residents and our community, including:
- Catering services and supplies
- Electrical suppliers
- Furniture manufacture and supply
- Hygiene services
- Landscaping – design and supply
- Mechanical services
- Pest control services
- Roofing services
- Tree works and stump grinding
Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone encourages local business owners to attend the workshop.
“While we have established close links with our local business community, there are still a number of businesses who are unaware they can bid or quote for Council business,” Mayor Carbone said. “The ‘Make Council Your Business’ program has been set up to encourage our local business people to get involved”.
The Workshop will give local business owners an opportunity to hear about registering as a supplier to Council, responding to a tender, Work Health and Safety requirements and procurement systems.
“Procurement processes can be difficult to understand, which is why Council is making it easier for businesses to make Council one of their clients through this upcoming workshop,” Mayor Carbone said.
Local business owners are invited to come along to the Procurement Workshop. There will be a free breakfast at 7am followed by the Workshop at 7.30am. Numbers are limited so please register your interest at www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/fccworkshop or call 9725 0276. (Please note: registrations for this workshop are now closed.)
