The Greater Sydney Commission is providing an opportunity to provide input into six District Plans being prepared as part of reviewing Greater Sydney’s A Plan for Growing Sydney.

District Plans will become the link between the State Government’s metropolitan plan – A Plan for Growing Sydney – and Councils’ Local Environmental Plans. A draft District Plan will be released for each of the six districts – North, Central, South, South West, West Central and West.

A community group briefing and open community drop-in session will be held in our district over the next couple of months.

Organisations are invited to express an interest (EOI) to attend the inaugural community group briefing on day one of the briefing program. This is an opportunity for organisations to be among the first to be briefed about the draft District Plans.

To ensure groups from across Greater Sydney are able to attend the briefing, the Commission will allocate all of the 200 seats it has capacity for and work with the EOIs received to allocate places fairly.

Please visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/83GRZYM to register your interest in attending. Registrations close on Friday 4 November at 5pm.

For those unable to attend, there will also be community drop-in sessions (see below).

If you have any questions about the sessions, please email engagement@gsc.nsw.gov.au or call 1800 617 681.

You can also join the conversation by visiting www.greater.sydney, or on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn – search for Greater Sydney Commission.
