I am proud to announce the newly transformed Endeavour Sports Park in Fairfield West will be officially opened this weekend and you’re invited to be among the first to experience the world-class facilities, including the 2 new FIFA-accredited synthetic fields.

Our 25th Cabramatta Moon Festival was a huge success last week. I hope you made it down to catch the first ever Australian National Lion Dance Competition and join in all the fun of the festival.

Dispose of your chemical and e-waste household clutter for free

Council will once again host a FREE Household E-Waste and Chemical Clean-Out event on Sunday 24 August from 9am to 3.30pm at Fairfield Showground.

I encourage all residents to take this opportunity to clean out your garages, sheds, and storage spaces and dispose of unwanted items the right way. A maximum of 20L or 20kg of a single item is permitted.

More playgrounds on the way for families to play

One of my top priorities is making sure local families have every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and build healthy habits together.

I’m pleased to announce a $1.5 million investment in two exciting new playgrounds at Nelson Park in Fairfield and Prout Park in Mt Pritchard.

Looking ahead, we’ll turn our attention to a new destination playground at Brenan Park, Smithfield.
