Learn the essentials of live sound production and join the GEN20 Sound and Stage Crew at the Bring It On! Festival at Fairfield Showground.
Interested in the basics of live sound production? Join us at Powerhouse Youth Theatre Fairfield for a free 6-week workshop series in sound and stage production.
- These workshops are tailored for emerging performers who want to know more about live sound production skills and practical knowledge.
- You will learn from western Sydney working artists/mentors who will share practical knowledge and essential skills for those wanting to step into the industry. Explore and understand equipment, live set-ups and the language of live gigs so you can gain confidence as an artist.
- After the workshops, all participants will have the chance to put their skills into practice as the Sound and Stage Crew at the Bring It On! Festival for Youth Week by getting hands on at our small acoustic stage.
Who: This workshop series is FREE to young people aged 12-24 living (or spending most of their time in) the Fairfield City area. No experience required - all skill levels welcome!
Where: PYT Fairfield, Fairfield School of Arts, 19 Harris St, Fairfield City Centre

Workshops will be on every Tuesday 6:30pm-8:30pm starting 7 March 2023 for 6 weeks. All participants will then put their skills into practice with their mentor at the Bring It On! Festival on Sunday 23 April 2023.

What will be provided: All equipment will be provided for your use at the workshops and the festival. We will be doing some practical learning and setting up mock gigs. If you are a performer and would like to bring your own instrument to practice with, please let us know on your ticket.
Free dinner is provided at all sessions!
