Fairfield City Council is seeking your comments on options to upgrade the intersection of Smithfield Road and Polding Street at Smithfield. Council plans to improve road safety at the intersection, securing funds from Roads and Maritime Services’ grant in 2013/2014.

Council has reviewed the average daily vehicle volumes (ranging from 25,000 vehicles per day on Smithfield Road and 15,000 vehicles per day on Polding Street) with up to 40 metre queues seen in morning and afternoon peak periods.
