 Nalawala Green Living Event

When: Saturday 11 September
Where: Nalawala Sustainability Hub (Corner of Greenfield and Moonlight Road, Prairiewood) 
Time: 10am – 2pm

  

Come and learn how easy it is to save money and be sustainable in your home!

There will be demonstrations and tips on how to reduce energy, water and waste in your home.

 

Other activities and fun for the family include:

 

  • Mini steam train rides
  • Guided bike tours
  • Live animal wildlife shows
  • Guided bush walks through the Indigenous Flora Park
  • Lean how to weave baskets, join in on a traditional smoking ceremony with  Aboriginal Elder Uncle Wes
  • Join in on a site tour of Nalawala
  • Learn how to build a no-dig-garden
  • Learn all about worms and composting  

You will also be able to collect your own free native plant for your garden with our free indigenous plant giveaway.

Cabramatta Moon Festival

Sunday 19 September from 11am to 8pm

Mark your diaries as this year's Cabramatta Moon Festival will be held on Sunday 19 September from 11am to 8pm!

Join in the celebrations as the Moon Festival heads into its 12th year. The festival is recognised as one of Sydney’s largest Asian celebrations that attracts more than 80,000 people from the local community and across Sydney

Watch the streets of Cabramatta come alive and burst with colour, activity and culinary delights. This is an event not to be missed!

Plan your day and take a bus, a train or park and ride on the free shuttle bus service as there will be several road closures in place surrounding Freedom Plaza.
