2015 Fairfield City Council Calendar

Here's a great way to keep up with all the events across Fairfield in 2015 - the Fairfield City Council  calendar.

The calendar includes important dates, Council initiatives and services and information on household waste and recycling.

There is also information on volunteer groups, libraries, sports and leisure in our City and children’s and family services.

The calendar is free and is available from Fairfield City libraries and leisure centres, Fairfield Museum and Gallery and the administration centre in Avoca Road, Wakeley - or you can download a copy here.

The Story of Cabramatta Wall

Artist Kevin Vo, who has been commissioned to design and implement the Story of Cabramatta Wall, entitled Untold.Fairfield City Council is developing the Story of Cabramatta Wall, a new public artwork for the town centre.

Through photographs and text, the Story of Cabramatta Wall will highlight significant events, such as the opening of the railway station, and the waves of migration, that have helped shape Cabramatta.

We would love to hear from you about your memories and experiences in Cabramatta.

Council launches Advance Australia Fair recording

An outstanding rendition of Advance Australia Fair by a young local singer has led to Fairfield City Council launching a locally produced version of the Australian National Anthem.

Rising operatic singer Angela Arduca was engaged by Council to sing on the recording, which was mixed by record producer Phil Anquetil. Flautist Daniel McPherson played didgeridoo on the record.
