One Night at the Museum

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery is seeking volunteer support in the lead up to its annual free event, One Night at the Museum.

Volunteers will work closely with local artists and filmmakers, gaining videography, zine-making and screen-printing experience, as well as help facilitate origami workshops, exhibition setup and operate the event photobooth. These practical skills can be transferred into future careers.

Returning to Fairfield City Museum & Gallery on Friday 8 September, the popular event invites visitors to experience contemporary art at twilight with an exciting twist.

This year’s theme POP! invites visitors to experience and explore immersive, contemporary art that responds to themes of identity, popular culture, fashion, design and photography.

The event will feature a series of interactive contemporary works by established and emerging artists, demonstrations, creative workshops, food and drinks.

People who are interested in volunteering (ages 16-25) should register online www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/ONATMvolunteer or contact Fairfield City Museum & Gallery on 9725 0190.

To attend the event, please RSVP here: www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/onatm.
