Lisa Sammut art work

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, Around the Time, will allow visitors to explore the universe.

Around the Time will be open to the public from 25 November to 10 February 2018 and will feature sculpture and other art mediums on a cosmic scale, arranged as a miniature diorama.

Featured artist Lisa Sammut has worked across sculpture, collage, video art and model-based installation, seeking to gain an understanding of cosmic time, distance and scale.

“Visitors to Fairfield City Museum & Gallery will gain an understanding of a much bigger picture; the entire universe,” Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said.

“Artist Lisa Sammut’s featured work is beautiful and thought-provoking, encouraging visitors to think about their position in the universe by viewing the many pieces of work that are thoughtfully placed as part of the exhibition.

“I encourage the community to attend the official opening of Around the Time and to take in all that Fairfield City Museum & Gallery has to offer, from multiple art exhibitions to wandering through the Vintage Village and learning about our City’s history.”
