Published Friday, 23rd December 2016
The Australian Government is calling for nominations to the Forum On Western Sydney Airport (FOWSA), an integral part of the flight path design process for the Western Sydney Airport.
The Government has also issued the owners of Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport, Sydney Airport Group, with the Notice of Intention.
Call for nominations to FOWSA
The first steps to establishing the Forum On Western Sydney Airport (FOWSA) have begun. The Australian Government is seeking nominations to FOWSA, which will be the community and stakeholder reference group. FOWSA is a key condition in the Western Sydney Airport Plan and will play an important role in the flight path design process for the airport.
It will be the forum where community members and organisations can raise issues and express opinions regarding the planning and development of the Western Sydney Airport, in particular the airspace and flight path design process. Expressions of interest to be part of FOWSA close on Tuesday 24 January 2017.
Notice of Intention to develop and operate Western Sydney Airport issued to Sydney Airport Group
The Australian Government has issued a Notice of Intention to the owners of Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport, Sydney Airport Group, which sets out the Commonwealth’s contractual terms for developing and operating the Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek - a requirement of the right of first refusal provided to Sydney Airport Group in 2002.
